Barrack Obama, deciding that his historic acceptance speech as the first African American presidential nominee for a major American party needed a reference to a thirty-year-old Dick Van Patten sitcom. I would have gone with something a teensy bit more current like, “…we must stand up and teach the Republicans the ‘Facts of Life.’”
