What is Wrong With These People? Part 246

Okay, admittedly I stopped paying attention to the presidential campaign months ago when I decided that:

  1. I’m not voting for a Republican because they’ve gotten every single issue wrong for the last 8 years,
  2. I like both Hillary and Barack, and will support either of them, and
  3. I don’t really care to hear them tear each other apart.
And it’s probably that last part that I’m missing out on. Because now I hear former Hillary supporters saying that if they can’t have her, they’re going to support McCain/Palin because:
  1. Sarah Palin’s a woman,
  2. Like many women she has children,
  3. They identify with her femininity and having-borne-children-ness, and
  4. They’re angry about what the Obama camp did
It’s clearly that the last point is what I’m ignorant about. What possible thing could Barack’s people have done that would make these Hillary supporters want to elect a corrupt, anti-choice censor-wannabe who thinks that rape victims should have to pick up the tab for their own forensic exams? Seriously, what the hell?

The Upside is Savings!

Yes, yes, Sarah Palin may be an unqualified nut with the screechiest voice this side of The Nanny, but she’ll still make a great vice president. I mean, she may not be able to do as good a job as Joe Biden, but since she’s not a feminist, can’t we just pay her 86 percent of what we would have paid a man?

The lady’s a Republican for goodness sakes - she should be happy with a little sexism.

Priorities

$1.64.  That’s the price of gas, when George W. Bush, an oil-man, took office. The question we need to be asking ourselves in terms of a McCain presidency is: how much are we willing to pay for beer?
