Some Good Advice

Alan Moore says:

“I suppose what I was doing was if I were to actually go around and imprison all the people that I wanted to mentally and spiritually set free, and subject them to torture for a couple of months, I’d probably get locked up, wouldn’t I? Nobody would understand that one.”

Really? Good to know. There goes my weekend.

Goldfish murder and defibrillation

(Video long since removed)

They drain a fish’s bowl, fill it with Mountain Dew (killing the fish), replace that with water and revive the fish with a 9V battery. Wow.

I hate to keep harping on this Danish cartoon thing

…but Christopher Hitchens1, in an article about the ongoing lunacy over the anti-islamic cartoons says:

But if Muslims do not want their alleged prophet identified with barbaric acts or adolescent fantasies, they should say publicly that random murder for virgins is not in their religion.

Which, of course, lots of Muslims say all the time. Every time some idiot extremist blows something or somebody up, James Zogby over at the Arab American Institute has to issue a press release to point out, again, that they think these people are idiots too. But all I hear in the press is, “Muslims never do anything to disavow terrorism.”

I don’t know if it’s just laziness or what, but this kind of thing is just getting on my nerves. So I ask:

When will Christians repudiate the abortion clinic bomber Eric Rudolph? Are they in league with him? Do they support his terrorist tactics? Why hasn’t the pope said anything about this? These Christian terrorists must be stopped!

1 I used to hear Christopher Hitchens referred to as a clear-thinking libertarian genius, but lately his writing has gotten just incredibly sloppy and poorly reasoned. And every time I see him on TV he seems drunk. Maybe they meant to call him a “libertine.” What’s up with that?
