Dear Yahoo!,

If you can’t stop filling my feed reader with duplicate entries, it’s going to become even harder to take you seriously. I don’t know what’s wrong with the backend of Yahoo! Sports, but I’m getting the same entries 3 and 4 times - and not even because they’ve been changed.

So knock it off. You’ve got enough on your plate, what with half the company fleeing. No need to drive off your remaining users.

Thanks,

Jemal

  1. Interesting. The raw feed from Yahoo! doesn’t have duplicate entries, but when I fetch it with my news reader (NetNewsWire, via Newsgator), suddenly all sorts of extra crap appears in there.

I’ve filed a bug on your behalf.

  2. Thanks for the catch! The issue was that your feed reader was considering each modification of an article as a new item. This has been fixed in our RSS feeds.

  3. Wow - usually my snarky comments just echo around. Nice! Thanks!
