Dear Senator Leahy,

There’s a simple answer to the problems you’re having with Michael Mukasey’s confirmation. If he won’t tell you whether or not he thinks waterboarding is torture, you’re going to have to waterboard him until he has an answer.  I’m guessing he’ll say yes.

1. You should check out this really cool blog called “Love and Peace” which links to a video in which Keith Olbermann, the anchor of “Countdown” discusses this topic.
   Most interesting to me was this part: “Charged, as you heard in the story from ABC News last Friday, with assessing the relative legality of the various nightmares in the Pandora’s box that is the Orwell-worthy euphemism “Enhanced Interrogation,” Mr. Levin decided that the simplest, and the most honest, way to evaluate them … was to have them enacted upon himself.

   Daniel Levin took himself to a military base and let himself be waterboarded.”
