Who has time to sync their photos with their computer and upload them to Flickr? Not me. So I’m asking Santa for an Eye-Fi Wireless 2GB SD Memory Card for X-mas this year.

It’s an SD card that you plug into your camera, and then every time you’re in range of your wireless network, it automatically transfers all the pictures you’ve taken to your computer. And, if you’ve set it up, it can upload all of them to Flickr or whatever other site you use.

And when you’re out of range of the network, it’s got 2 Gigs of storage space. Pretty handy, eh?

  1. Yeah, too bad mine uses a CF card instead of SD.

  2. Price tag?

    Wireless N?

  3. @jerry: Yes, that’s too bad that your awesome camera can’t take advantage of something my crappy one can. I weep for you. :-P

@skank: $99, and it works with b, g, and backwards-compatible n networks. Good enough for me, now that FiOS has me stuck with g in order to use their service.

  4. Yes, that is my cross to bear. :p

I can’t see myself ever using the feature to automatically send them to Flickr though. I tend to do some processing in between.

  5. I don’t do any processing before uploading (figuring that if anyone wants to use the picture for something, they’re better off having the original), but I do a lot of screening. For every 1 picture I upload, I generally take about 30. If i could just upload fewer pictures, I’d seem like a better photographer. :-)
