- I just noticed that there’s a discussion group at the place where I work for people with autistic family members. I noticed because they have a bulletin board by the cafeteria. A bulletin board where they posted flyers for CAN and DAN!. What’s so wrong with real science, people? Why not listen to real doctors?
- To the people with whom I share my morning commute: seriously, just quit it. All of it. The tail-gaiting, the cruising slowly in the left lane. And who are you talking to on a cell phone at 6:00 AM? And why do you have to do it while driving slowly in the left lane? What surprises me is that anyone hired you people. Maybe you should think about taking a train.
- I remembered today why I made a life-long commitment never to carry a pen in my pants pocket today. Looks like a I need a new pair of khakis. Oh well.
- To the owners of jacked-up (in the sense of extra tall) pick-ups with whom I share my morning commute: this isn’t a race, and those aren’t race cars. Really. It’s kind of pathetic. Why didn’t you buy a car if that’s how you like to drive? And no, I’m not intimidated, because even in my little car, I’m more likely to survive an accident than you are.
- Look, I liked the Bangles as much as anyone else back in the 80’s. And I like that Mashup “Whatsername (Susanna Hoffs)” because, what’s not to like about Green Day + the Bangles? But can we agree that if all of the radio stations are going to play “Manic Monday” every Monday morning, they’re not allowed to play it Tuesday morning? Because it just confuses me.
