What exactly is the point in ter­ror­ism against the brits? I mean, their national iden­tity is based on sto­icism. These people lived through the blitz. They waited out the IRA. Their guards aren’t known for their tough­ness or hero­ism: they’re known for putting up with abuse with­out blinking.

I mean, attack­ing the Amer­i­cans was dumb: our national iden­tity is based on being a bunch of short-​tempered over-​reacting ass­holes. Heck, our favorite emo­tion is right­eous indig­na­tion. But this is just a waste of time. It’s like attack­ing the french by putting span­ish fly in the reservoirs.
