I told some people that I’d post a link to the cur­rent unpleas­ant­ness sur­round­ing Janet Jackson’s nipple. Let me add that I don’t really under­stand the fuss - there are very few chil­dren who make it past the age of one hour with­out seeing a breast. This being the case, what’s the big deal? We’ve all seen them. Heck, half the pop­u­la­tion has them.

At work I men­tioned that the cur­rent flap reminds me of Ashcroft’s taking issue with breast expo­sure, and that the whole thing makes me think that the Bush admin­is­tra­tion is against breasts. Some crusty old man piped up that he’d like to be against breasts, but judg­ing from his hygiene, I don’t see it happening.
